Lindsay Paterson is professor of education policy in the School of Social and Political Science at Edinburgh University. His main teaching and research interests are in education, social mobility, civic values, and statistical methods. He is a Fellow of the British Academy and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh. He is not a member of any political party.
